OUR VISION
Sonorex recognises the urgent need to accelerate efforts to reduce global dependency on fossil fuels. Methane reformation technologies capable of producing hydrogen fuel are proven and will be required at scale to bridge the gap to fully sustainable energy systems.
Sonorex anticipate rapid global roll out of hydrogen fuel technology over the coming decades. This will be required to replace petroleum based products in aviation, haulage and industrial settings where electrical and battery based solutions are not considered suitable.
With over 15 years operational experience in the Newport area, Sonorex is ideally positioned to benefit from significant opportunities afforded to early entrants in the rapidly evolving green energy market.

CONCEPT
In recognition of the need to reduce global dependency on fossil fuels.
Methane reformation technologies capable of producing hydrogen fuel are proven and will be required at scale to bridge the gap to fully sustainable energy systems.
Sonorex anticipate rapid global roll out of hydrogen fuel technology over the coming decades which will be required to replace petroleum based products in aviation, haulage and industrial settings where electrical and battery based solutions are not considered suitable.
With over 15 years operational experience in the Newport area, Sonorex is ideally positioned to benefit from significant opportunities afforded to early entrants in the rapidly evolving green energy market.

OPPORTUNITY
Sonorex is in active discussion with key stakeholders regarding the development of the Newport Gas to Hydrogen Project (NGHP), a novel development which will see natural gas converted to hydrogen based fuels including liquid synfuels using renewable energy.
Investment is currently being sought to fund key steps in the NGHP pilot project. Funding will enable ongoing research and FEED studies aimed at developing Wales's first scalable hydrogen and advanced synfuel manufacturing plant.
Benefiting from modular components, all aspects of the NGHP project are fully scalable and rapid learnings from this initial project and other emerging hub developments are expected to become one of the most lucrative emerging global energy markets over the coming decades.

SUMMARY
The overall aim is to reduce reliance on oil and petroleum based products in aviation, manufacturing and haulage which cannot easily benefit from the “electric revolution” occurring in car and rail sectors.
Natural gas sourced initially by pipeline, borehole and increasing amounts of renewable biogas will be used as the feedstock for methane reformation into hydrogen and other high-value synthetic liquid fuels e.g. synthetic Kerosene (Jet fuel).

HIGHLIGHTS
Local ready market for advanced transitional fuels such as hydrogen and oil substitutes using modular methane reformation technology.
Multiple sustainable revenue streams with potential for rapid growth and substantial job creation.
Project will deliver green alternatives to petroleum used in aviation, manufacturing and haulage by 2025.
